Tom Cruise edges Robin Williams to be named world’s ‘sexiest male actor’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The verdict is in and Tom Cruise is the world’s sexiest male actor, according to the world’s mothers. The ‘Mission: Impossible’ actor grabbed the incredible honor by surpassing one of Hollywood’s most loved legends – Robin Williams.
In a poll conducted by Showcase Cinemas, 2000 mothers were asked to pick their favorites. The categories were ‘sexiest male actor’ and their favorite movie.
While the 60-year-old action movie heartthrob Cruise won the poll for the favorite actor, the 1965 classic ‘The Sound of Music’ came at the top of the list of favorite movies. The movie starred Julie Andrews in the lead.
Jon Dixon of Showcase Cinemas said, “The Sound of Music came out as number one, but it was extremely tight with so many classics making the top ten.” He added, “Hollywood heartthrob Tom Cruise came top in the list of favorite movie stars, just edging out Robin Williams.”
This is not the first time Tom Cruise is dubbed the sexiest man. The ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ star was named People’s ‘sexiest man alive’ in 1990.
