Austin pizza joint named best in U.S. for National Pizza Day 2023

Thursday is National Pizza Day and one of our Austin-based pizza joints was named the best in the country, according to Trips to Discover‘s 20 Best Pizza Joints.
According to its website, Bufalina Due, located in Central Austin at 6555 Burnet Road #100, bakes handcrafted Neopolitan pies with artisanal ingredients in a Stefano Ferrara wood-burning oven. The business often earns rave reviews from diners and critics, says Trips to Discover.
The location offers beer and wine to pair with the pies and pasta and has both indoor and outdoor seating.
Bufalina Due’s hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 4-10 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. You can also order takeout via Tock.
A San Antonio location also made the top 20 best pizza businesses list.
Big Lou’s, located off WW White Road, is known for its oversized 42-inch pizza pies with over-foot-long slices and its unique flavor combos like barbecue with pickles.
