One Single Photo From A Former Hockey Player Has Set The Internet Completely On Fire

Well, this is one way to go viral.

Mikayla Demaiter, who used to play in the PWHL as a goaltender but is now a full-time Instagram model, has had a successful career transition, and she was forced into it.

Demaiter had to give up the game of hockey in 2019 after she suffered a knee injury that ended her career, bidding farewell in an Instagram post:

“Dear Hockey, It is time to say goodbye. It is time to turn the page and move to the next chapter of my life, for the first time you will not be my number one focus,” wrote Demaiter.

Four years later, Demaiter is an online star with 1.6 million followers on Instagram.

And it looks like her star is about to rise even further, because she recently went viral and set the internet completely on fire, and she did it with a single photo.
