Florida woman attacks cops after claiming to be ‘God from ancient Egypt’

BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA: A Florida woman who was arrested in Miami Beach over the weekend after claiming to be an Egyptian god was unaffected by a stun gun and required four police officers to hold her down. Officers were summoned after reports of a disturbance along Espanola Way and Washington Avenue on Sunday afternoon, December 11, which is when the strange incident took place.

The arrest report states that Emily Thomas Lochten, 26, pulled over in the middle of the road, got out, and started shouting. Before hitting a nearby Cuban restaurant, she allegedly became increasingly furious and slammed the hoods of passing cars, according to the police report cited by the local news station WPLG. Officers said that Lochten, of Boynton Beach, Florida, slammed tables and threw plates and drinks at patrons before slapping the restaurant manager’s hand when he asked her to leave

She allegedly grew even more ‘aggressive and hostile’ and smacked a officer’s face when police attempted to take her into custody. She attempted to elude a second cop by aiming a strike at him, which he managed to avoid, according to the report; the officer used his Taser but failed to stun her. According to the description of the arrest, she displayed “unusual strength” that may have been brought on by “an unknown substance.”

She had to be confined on a stretcher taken from a fire truck, and it apparently took several cops to finally overpower and get the handcuffs on her. She was allegedly yelling that she was a descendant of the late rapper Tupac Shakur and ‘a God from ancient Egypt who could take on all of us,’ according to the police.

She was then taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center for evaluation. In a strange coincidence, Mount Sinai is the name of the Egyptian mountain where Moses is said to have received the 10 commandments from God. The suspect was subsequently brought to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center after being given the all-clear by doctors. She is accused of assaulting a police officer, battery on a police officer, resisting an officer with violence, disorderly behavior, and resisting an officer without violence. She was being held on a $10,000 bond.
