A Maryland public school is silent after a viral video appears to show students inappropriately touching in the classroom of a teacher who was suspended one month ago, according to parents in the district.

The video appears to show students engaging in sexual acts and someone dressed as a banana in stockings. An Anne Arundel County School District parent told Libs of TikTok that the video took place in transgender teacher Willa Hoard’s classroom. Hoard is the supervisor for the school’s Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA) club, according to Libs of TikTok.

One mother told Libs of TikTok that multiple parents reached out to the school’s principal as early as spring 2022 regarding inappropriate behavior from the educator. Hoard reportedly communicated with students on unofficial school platforms such as Discord, Instagram, and Facebook messenger. Students referred to Hoard as “mom,” according to Libs of TikTok.

Parents reportedly showed the school screenshots from the GSA club’s Instagram that claim using a student’s “deadname” — a birth name that they no longer use — is akin to sexual harassment, according to Libs of TikTok.

“A friendly reminder that deadnaming can and does count as sexual harassment. Feel free to remind the administrators of this when reporting an incident,” one post read, according to a screenshot shared by Libs of TikTok.

“Administrators have been encouraged to use last names when calling students down to the front office/counselors office,” another screenshot shared read. “If you believe a counselor/administrator is purposely disregarding this, say something!”

Chesapeake High School suspended transgender teacher Willa Hoard months later on Oct. 3 with no explanation to parents, according to a letter from the school’s principal. The letter states that the educator will “be away from our building indefinitely.”

“I am writing to let you know that social studies teacher Mrs. Willa Hoard will be away from our building indefinitely,” principal John Yore wrote. “While Mrs. Hoard is out, a substitute teacher and members of our social studies team will be providing instruction and support to students.”

Chesapeake High School did not respond to the Daily Caller’s request for comment. Hoard could not be reached for comment.
