President Joe Biden said that he was considering issuing pro-abortion executive orders if the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade.
The president made the comments while a guest on Wednesday on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” show.
“Roe v. Wade, boy these things just keep coming at ya, don’t they? There’s no, you have not had an easies, what a terrible job you have. I mean, I’m glad you’re doing it, but boy oh boy, does this seem like a bad gig,” said Kimmel.
“I think if the court overrules Roe v. Wade and does what is drafted, if that occurs, I think we have to, we have to legislate it. We have to make sure we pass legislation making it a law that is the federal government says this is how it works,” Biden replied.
Biden went on to recount the history of the case law prior to Roe v. Wade in order to falsely imply that conservatives were also seeking to ban all contraceptives.
“I don’t think the country will stand for it,” he continued. “I think what we’re going to have to do. There’s some executive orders I could employ, we believe – we’re looking at that right now.”
Biden said that the decision would cause more people to hit the voting booths and vote out Republicans.
“It’s clear that, if in fact, the decision comes down the way it does and these states impose limitations they’re talking about, it’s going to cause a mini revolution. They’re going to vote lots of these folks out of office,” Biden added.
“You gotta make sure that you vote,” he concluded.
Liberals were incensed when a draft decision from the Supreme Court was leaked to the media indicating that a majority on the court were seeking to overturn the landmark pro-abortion ruling from 1973. The fury surrounding the leaked draft led to one man plotting to murder Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and commit suicide afterwards, according to law enforcement authorities who arrested him.
