What appears to be a master test distributed to schools for which teachers would edit before administering was donated to Bullitt County History Museum.

 

Over one hundred years ago, schools in the rural county were scattered far and wide, according to the museum’s website. Students got together once or twice a year to take the “Common Exam.” This test was a big deal, and students were told to prepare properly. Scholarships were provided to some who passed the exam and went on to high school.

 

Can you pass the exam?
