Villainous Rassler’ viciously attack defenseless referee

A World Class Pro Wrestling event in Irving, Texas, turned scary on Saturday when a referee suffered multiple wounds to his head.

Video footage from a match between Devon Nicholson, known as “Hannibal” and “The Blood Hunter,” and former WWE star Carlito appears to show Nicholson cutting the referee’s head with a sharp object after winning the bout. The incident was shared by TMZ.

The referee, Lando Deltoro, has given updates about his recovery on Twitter after needing to get treated at a hospital.

“Recovering at home,” the referee tweeted Sunday. “Still a bit fuzzy and pain, yes lots of pain. But I’ll live.”

Deltoro shared a number of graphic photos that showed what appeared to be sutures throughout his head. He also tweeted a photo of a “slightly used” referee shirt, covered in blood.

Nicholson — on his popular YouTube page — shared a video on Monday, addressing backlash and “death threats” he’s received since the incident.

“That referee was hired because he was a bleeder. He did not referee any other matches on the card,” he said. “His sole purpose of why he was hired was to bleed… I was given a prop to create the weapon effect in the match. The prop was given to me by the World Class Pro Wrestling office, and it was given to me in the ring… This referee was supposed to bleed from razor blade cuts, which I assume he actually cut himself with the razor blades.”

Nicholson later said, “I talked to the guy the next day. He said that we were cool. He knows that I didn’t mean to hurt him. I did apologize to him. If he told me he was getting hurt, I would’ve stopped.”
