Successful Lawyer Courtney Cox, 31, Killed In High Rise Apt By BF Described as ‘Thug’

Those who knew Courtney Cox say she began dating her alleged killer, Jarvis Jarrett, over the summer. The lawyer apparently met Jarrett at Atlantic House, where she was found dead.

— An autopsy will be performed on the body of a Milledgeville man whom authorities say fired a rifle at officers with the Atlanta Police Department from a high-rise apartment building in midtown Atlanta early Wednesday.

The autopsy is scheduled to be performed on the body of 32-year-old Jarvis Jarrett, of Milledgeville on Friday morning, Fulton County Medical Examiner Investigator Darrell Reid told The Union-Recorder via telephone Thursday.

The autopsy will determine the exact cause and manner of Jarrett’s death.

Jarrett is believed to have been shot to death by an officer with the Atlanta Police Department who was returning gunfire after he and other officers were fired upon by a man on the balcony of a 21st floor apartment known as the Atlantic House.

Authorities have confirmed that Jarrett was an active shooter at the time he was shot and killed.
