Madonna Flashes Audience in Off The Rails, Chaotic ‘Tonight Show’ Interview
Madonna is ready to disturb the peace. Last night (Oct. 8) on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the pop icon sent an interview flying off the rails with a sexy dance and quick flash of her behind to the audience. Although Fallonshared a laugh with the star, he struggled to keep up with her diva-like antics.
The interview began with a handful of normal questions about Madonna’s new concert film, Madame X. But even as Fallon attempted to sneak in questions about the star’s career, she gave him some flack, interrupting with questions of her own.
“You always do stuff that nobody else is doing. You zig when people are zagging,” Fallon began. “Here’s what I was going to ask you—”
Madonna then cut Fallon off: “Did I make any money? I didn’t,” she joked with a cackle.
Even after cutting in, Fallon was still keen on getting his question in. “You do all these things, and then people take your ideas and they don’t give you credit. And I go, ‘No, Madonna did that already.’”
Still not finished with his question, Madonna cut in again: “They also don’t do it as good,” earning an uproar of applause from the audience. “That sounds really arrogant, but it’s kind of true.”
After a few earnest statements about the influences of her album, Madonna got down and dirty with Fallon’s table. The talk show host accused her of getting in “good trouble,” and the singer was off to the races. Pushing everything off Fallon’s desk, Madonna slid her body to lie flat on the table, giving the audience a steamy dance.
“Madonna, stop it!” Fallon shouted, using his jacket to cover her legs. But it was no use: after her little stint, Madonna stood up from the table and flipped her skirt up for the audience to see her behind.
“No one’s gonna see anything, my god!” she said as her rear was on full display. “Life is not just about interviewing kitties, okay. I’m trying to talk to an adult. Let’s have an adult conversation.”
After Fallon asked if she was talking to an adult — referring to himself — Madonna seized the opportunity to roast the talk show host.
“I don’t know. I feel like you’re in some kind of conflict right now,” she said. “Have you been to a therapist?”
Wrapping up her wild interview segment, Madonna stated her versions of therapy: writing, good friends, etc. And what about smoking?
“I don’t like it,” she said. “I like opiates.”
