Frequent readers of Delish.com should know how much we love finding out about secret menu hacks. Essentially, these are tricks to help you customize your order in a way not listed on the front-end menu, but those who work at chain restaurants will know how to get you what you want. In the latest “secret menu” news, people are learning about super secret pet-friendly menus so you can get your four-legged family members food at the drive-thru.
If your mind is blown right now you’re not alone as the news of these secret pet menus have been all over TikTok. Daily Paws posted a series of videos on their page explaining where and how to get pet safe food at your go-to fast food chains and pet owners on the app are loving the inside scoop.
It all started with In-N-Out, which Daily Paws said offers a “Pup Patty” when you ask for it by name. The patty is a simple, unsalted, broiled hamburger patty which doesn’t include any garlic or onions—typical ingredients that can be toxic to pets. This video has over 400,000 likes and counting, and the account clued their followers in on other chains like Dairy Queen, Raising Cane’s, and Chick-fil-A with similar offers.
At Dairy Queen you can ask for a “Pup cup” to get a small cup of soft-serve topped with a dog biscuit. Raising Cane’s and Chick-fil-A offer more standard pet options if you ask for a “dog treat” like milk bones, bacon strips, or a chicken finger if you’re lucky.
Daily Paws said most of these pet-friendly add-ons are given out free of charge, but of course when it comes to secret menu hacks availability and pricing can vary from location to location. Regardless, this is a nice fun fact to keep in your back pocket for the next road trip you take with your pet, because good boys deserve good food too.
