The Butterfly-Happy 4th of July
The butterfly: © Donna Rae Lands
The little snowball rolling downhill…
Gaining speed growing so real in its quest seeking thrill…
One small pebble can indeed start an avalanche…
One Stallion galloping by chance…
It rushes the harras on the country ranch…
One small fish can start a wave…
An ember can start the blaze…
And to wipe away a tear with nothing to fear…
There is everlasting love…lying peacefully so near…
Fluttering her wings…by and by…
Tis this life of this butterfly…
Note from Author: I wrote the poem to match the video of my grandson and his butterfly. The word harras is an old word that means a group of horses not to be confused with harass. The poem is about every small difference in life can turn into something huge. When it’s all final and said, it is love that makes the biggest difference of all. 🙂
Just a Lady in the wilderness writing about this, that and what not.
