Police: Norwalk man punched person in bathroom dispute

NORWALK — A 28-year-old Norwalk man punched someone in an argument over who got to use the bathroom first, police said.

Officers responded to a School Street apartment at 1:48 a.m. Sunday on reports of a domestic dispute.

Police said Anthony Villegas, 28, and another resident began arguing when over who had the right to use the bathroom.

During the argument, police said, Villegas punched the victim in the nose.

When police arrived, the victim was covered in blood and Villegas was bleeding from his lip, according to police.

Both refused medical attention, according to police.

Villegas was arrested and charged with third-degree assault, violation of a standing criminal protective order and violation of a protective order. He was held on $30,000 bond and given a court date of Jan. 11.
