CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI – An alligator is on the loose in Clinton Township and the police and animal control are asking for the public’s help in locating it.

The one-foot-long alligator escaped from a home in the area of Lucerne and Lantz streets, which is off of Little Mack Avenue between 15 Mile and 16 Mile roads, Clinton Township Police Department said in a Tuesday, July 7, Facebook post.

Anyone who spots the alligator (pictured above) is strongly encouraged not to approach it but to immediately contact Macomb County Animal Control at 586-469-5115, or the township police at 586-493-7800.
