GEORGETOWN, S.C. —
A Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office deputy was forced to shock his own K-9 with a Taser after the dog was distracted by a cow and bit it during a burglary call.
It happened Thursday in the Pleasant Hill community.
Deputies said the K-9 got distracted by a nearby cow and bit the animal.
In an attempt to protect the cow from being hurt, the deputy used his Taser on the K-9.
Reacting to the dog, the cow then struck the deputy and property owner.
Their injuries were minor.
The burglary call proved to be unfounded.
