From DCL…Bring the Joy of Christmas to Less Fortunate Children.

6 Days left to Christmas.

Every year at this time I like to give to the Toys for Tots Program. A GREAT program.

If you don’t know about it Toys for Tots began in 1947 as the brain child of Marine Corps Reserve Major Bill Hendricks, Actually it was his wife, Diane, who was the real inspiration. She had crafted a few handcrafted dolls and asked Bill to deliver them to an agency that supports children in need.

The basic mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Program is to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas.

I usually give a hundred bucks to them. I know, it’s not much with the price of toys, but it’s all I can do.

This year I’d like to double that donation and match it with a donation from all of you here at TNBD.
