AMHERST CO., Va, (WSET) — According to the Humane Society of Amherst County, just as the Christmas season begins, a dog watched his owner and canine siblings die in a fire.

The Humane Society of Amherst County said Tank could barely breathe while in his home on Tuesday, December 3.

The house was hot and smelly and Tank had to watch as his owner and canine siblings died in a fire.

The humane society wrote a letter on Tank’s behalf asking Santa for a home for Christmas.

I just want a home filled with love like my last one.

In the letter, Tank asks that his human owner and his canine siblings know that Tank is doing fine and that he misses them all so much already.

Tank loves to be pet, can sit patiently, is very sweet and loving but felines aren’t really his thing.

The letter says that Tank would be okay with new dog siblings.

The Humane Society of Amherst County is asking that Tank’s Christmas wish of finding a new home come true.
