Man killed while crossing Southfield Freeway: ‘Everyone stopped and recorded it,’ but one woman tried to save him

So typical of the ghetto denizens in Detroit.

DETROIT – A man was hit and killed while trying to cross the Southfield Freeway on Monday night in Detroit.

He hopped over the median on the freeway near Grand River Avenue and tried to walk across. He was struck by several vehicles just before 7 p.m.

While other drivers decided to film the incident on their phones, Angela Potter tried to save him. She administered CPR until first responders arrived.

“Everyone stopped and recorded it, no one stopped to help. There is no reason to grab your phone. I don’t understand why people grab their phones. Put your phones down, help,” said Potter. “About 10-15 minutes and the ambulance came and said he was gone. He was already gone.”

Michigan State Police are working to identify the man and understand why he decided to walk across the busy freeway.

No other injuries were reported.
