Robber Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Pre-Teen Girl While Out On $6k Bail

Brooklyn, NY – A 17-year-old gangbanger facing 34 charges, including armed robbery and assault, was released on $6,000 bail so that he was free to sexually assault a 12-year-old girl six months later.

Tony Johnson caught a huge break on March 5 when Acting State Supreme Court Justice Craig Walker denied the prosecutor’s request to hold him on $225,000 bond after he was indicted on multiple charges, the New York Postreported.

Instead, Walker cut the bond request by more than 97 percent, and Johnson was released into his mother’s custody for the bargain price of just $6,000.

Sources told the New York Post that Johnson went back to his mother’s home in the Breukelen Houses in Canarsie and began a reign of terror.

Court records detailed a long list of strong-arm robberies that investigators believe can be blamed on Johnson.

He was accused of snatching a cell phone from the hand of a woman at Breukelen Houses at about 1 p.m. on Sept. 15, the New York Post reported.

Court records showed Johnson allegedly punched another woman in the face and stole her purse at about 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 16 at the corner of Livonia Avenue and Bristol Street.

Her injuries were significant enough to require a trip to the hospital, the New York Post reported.

Less than an hour later, back at Breukelen Houses, Johnson threatened to knife a man.

“Give me your sneakers or I’ll stab you,” Johnson snarled, according to court documents.

Then he checked his victim’s pockets before fleeing with his shoes, the New York Post reported.

Sources said that Johnson’s criminal behavior went up a few notches when he sneaked up behind a 12-year-old girl on Oct. 8.

The girl was walking through Breukelen Houses on her way to pick her little sister up at school, sources told the New York Post.

Court records showed that Johnson allegedly searched the girl’s backpack for things to steal, but found nothing.

So he forced the 12 year old into a nearby basement and ordered her to remove her pants and underwear, the New York Post reported.

Court documents showed that Johnson is accused of sexually assaulting the little girl and forcing her to engage in a sex act.

He was arrested for the robberies and the sex attack on the 12-year-old girl on Oct. 10, the New York Post reported.

Department of Corrections records showed that Johnson was being held at the Horizon Juvenile Center in the Bronx on $105,000 cash bail or $130,000 bond.

He appeared in court on Oct. 15 and had to be restrained after the hearing, the New York Post reported.

Johnson was about to be taken back to a holding cell when he suddenly started screaming at Brooklyn Assistant District Attorney Michele Haddad across the courtroom.

“F–king b–ch! F–king b–ch!” he screamed, the New York Post reported.

Johnson’s family members began sobbing in their seats, but a young woman apparently affiliated with the defendant lunged at and cursed a photographer on her way out of the courtroom.

She screamed that she did not want her picture taken, the New York Post reported.

A court officer took the woman to the ground and pinned her down until she became calm and rational.

The same judge who previously released Johnson on $6,000 bail presided over his arraignment on Tuesday, the New York Post reported.

He was charged with first-degree criminal sexual act, first-degree sexual abuse, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Johnson is also being held on a $30,000 bond in connection with three robberies in September, the New York Post reported.
