GOP congressman wants to probe Hunter Biden’s business dealings

A Republican congressman from Alabama said Monday he will introduce legislation calling on Congress to begin investigating the business dealings of Hunter Biden while his father, Joe Biden, was vice president.

“I’m not asking for a foreign government to investigate him, I want the United States Congress to investigate him,” Rep. Bradley Byrne told “Fox & Friends.”

Byrne said his legislation, which he plans to introduce Tuesday, would call on three House committees — Foreign Affairs, Oversight and Financial Services — to launch probes into the Bidens.

Addressing the House’s impeachment inquiry into President Trump’s call to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, Byrne said Democrats “continue to turn a blind eye to the Biden scandal.”

“We must draw attention to the Democrats’ hypocrisy and demand a full investigation into the Bidens and their sketchy business dealings with China and Ukraine,” Byrne said in a statement released Monday.

“Instead of wasting time with the witch hunt against President Trump, Congress should demand answers from Joe and Hunter Biden and get to the bottom of all this nonsense.”

Byrne said the panels should determine whether Hunter Biden’s work for Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian natural gas company, while his father was vice president, resulted in any conflicts of interest or affected foreign policy.

Trump, in a July 25 phone call, asked Zelensky to launch an investigation into Hunter Biden’s work for Burisma. Trump has claimed that Joe Biden threatened to withdraw $1 billion in loan guarantees unless Ukraine fired its top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, who had been probing Burisma’s founder.

Scumbags…the whole lot.

Hunter Biden, in a statement released by his lawyer George Mesires on Sunday, announced that he would step down from a Chinese-backed private equity fund by the end of the month.

Mesires also noted that no evidence has surfaced that Hunter Biden did anything wrong.
